Overview
We are looking for a Content & Trends Marketing Specialist who understands trends, internet culture, and Gen Z behavior. This role will focus on content, social media, campaigns, and creator collaborations to grow ThingsBook as a platform where people share their taste and identity.
This is not a performance marketing role; this is a culture, content, and community-driven marketing role.

Note: This position requires some travel.


Key Responsibilities
Trend Research & Insights
  • Identify and analyze emerging Gen Z trends across books, films, art, fashion, collections and online culture.
  • Track social media platforms, online communities, and cultural movements to inform content strategies.
  • Translate trend insights into actionable marketing campaigns and creative initiatives.
Content Strategy & Campaign Execution
  • Plan, develop, and execute content for the ThingsBook official account and banner.
  • Launch creative campaigns, challenges, and initiatives to drive engagement and community growth.
  • Monitor and optimize content performance, using data to improve reach, engagement, and impact.
Creator & Influencer Collaboration
  • Build and maintain relationships with creators and influencers for content collaborations.
  • Manage campaign deliverables, timelines, and coordination between internal teams and external partners.
  • Work closely with the partnerships team on co-marketing initiatives to amplify campaigns.
Community Engagement & Offline Activations
  • Plan and execute community activations, events, and initiatives both online and offline.
  • Foster meaningful interactions within the ThingsBook community to strengthen engagement.
  • Gather audience feedback to inform future campaigns, content, and growth strategies.
Operations & Cross-Functional Support
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, design, and Korea HQ to ensure brand consistency.
  • Maintain structured documentation of content pipelines, campaign performance, and trends insights.
  • Support ad hoc initiatives and creative projects as needed to grow brand presence and community impact.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Trend Awareness: Deep understanding of Gen Z culture, social media, and internet trends.
  • Creativity & Storytelling: Strong sense of branding, aesthetics, and narrative across multiple content formats.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with creators, influencers, and internal teams.
  • Execution & Initiative: Hands-on approach with strong follow-through on campaigns and projects.
  • Analytical Mindset: Track, measure, and optimize content performance metrics.
  • Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication for coordination and outreach.
  • Passion: Enthusiasm for culture, lifestyle, books, films, and creative communities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to develop and produce high-quality creative assets and content
  • Experience building a brand or social media presence from scratch.
  • Background in a consumer app, media company, or startup environment.
  • Proven success running community-driven campaigns or influencer programs.

  • Pay: $65K -$83K per year
