About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing & Content Manager to define BAND’s messaging and lead the creation of high-impact marketing assets that drive growth across markets.
This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, media planning, and performance marketing geared toward growth.
You will lead the content function and own media planning across channels—developing the media mix, managing paid and influencer campaigns, overseeing creator partnerships, and producing high-impact marketing assets including ads, landing pages, case studies, and partnership decks.
Your work will directly influence user acquisition, activation, and retention across multiple segments.
This is both a strategic and execution-driven leadership role. You are comfortable shaping and reviewing copy, guiding creative, and refining assets hands-on.


Key Responsibilities
Messaging & Positioning
  • Develop messaging frameworks and content strategy for key user segments based on user insights and competitive research
  • Translate product capabilities into clear, differentiated value propositions
  • Build and maintain organized messaging frameworks and supporting insights by target market for internal teams and partners
  • Identify high-impact content opportunities that support user acquisition, activation, and retention
  • Ensure messaging consistency across paid, organic, in-app, and partnership channels
Media Planning & Channel Strategy
  • Define and own the media mix strategy across paid, earned, and owned channels—including Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, podcast sponsorships, media placements, and influencer partnerships—aligned with acquisition and growth goals
  • Vet, onboard, and manage relationships with external marketing agencies—aligning on briefs, budgets, deliverables, and performance expectations across campaigns
  • Develop channel-specific campaign plans with audience targeting, creative direction, budget allocation, and performance benchmarks for each channel
  • Own content production pipelines for each channel—from creative briefing and creator coordination to review, publishing, and performance tracking—ensuring on-brand, channel-native assets at scale
  • Build and maintain a cross-channel content and campaign calendar, ensuring coordinated messaging, consistent pacing, and alignment with growth milestones
  • Analyze cross-channel performance data to evaluate media mix effectiveness, reallocate budgets toward high-performing channels, and continuously improve campaign ROI
Content Production & Marketing Asset Creation
  • Develop testimonial narratives and audience-specific proof points that highlight real-world use cases
  • Collaborate with users to capture insights and turn interviews into compelling marketing content
  • Build scalable content sourcing and production processes to support ongoing marketing and growth initiatives
  • Develop tailored messaging and marketing assets for strategic partners and partnership initiatives
  • Support in-app campaigns, announcements, and lifecycle messaging that drive activation and engagement
Team & Agency Leadership
  • Build and manage a lean, high-performing content team
  • Collaborate with designers and video creators
  • Maintain high quality and fast turnaround in a test-driven environment

  • Marketing campaigns and assets that materially improve conversion, activation, and retention metrics
  • A well-optimized media mix with clear channel-level performance visibility—influencer partnerships, paid campaigns, and podcast placements all contributing measurably to growth
  • Influencer and creator partnerships that generate measurable reach, authentic engagement, and attributable user acquisition
  • Clear, segment-specific messaging that differentiates BAND and resonates with target communities
  • Partnership teams equipped with compelling vertical proof points, messaging, and content that accelerate adoption
  • In-app campaigns, announcements, and lifecycle messaging that increase user engagement, feature adoption, and retention
  • Improved discoverability and reach through effective content distribution across paid, owned, and organic channels
  • A scalable content engine that consistently produces high-impact assets supporting growth campaigns, partnerships, and product adoption
Skills & Qualifications
  • 8+ years in content marketing, brand, or performance marketing
  • Proven track record of driving measurable growth through content and marketing initiatives (e.g., improving conversion rates, scaling paid campaigns, increasing activation/retention, supporting revenue or MAU growth)
  • Hands-on experience with media planning and media mix strategy across paid social, media placements, influencer marketing, and podcast advertising—including budget allocation, channel prioritization, and performance measurement
  • Experience managing influencer marketing programs end-to-end, including creator sourcing, contracting, briefing, and performance tracking
  • Experience leading paid acquisition and conversion funnels
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies, contractors, and creators to produce and scale marketing campaigns across channels
  • Deep understanding of messaging for community-led or B2B2C products preferred
  • Ability to move between strategy and execution fluidly
  • Strong editorial instinct with performance orientation
  • Comfortable using data to refine positioning and creative
  • Highly detail-oriented, efficient, and adaptable with a strong ownership mindset

  • Pay: $106,000 - $133,000 per year
  • Candidates who pass the initial HR screening will be invited to complete a brief take-home assignment.
